Harga emas terus bergerak turun hingga ke bawah level $1740 per troy ons. Meningkatnya prospek kenaikan suku bunga The Fed secara agresif menjadi katalis yang melatarbelakangi kemerosotan emas.

Pada pekan lalu, beberapa pejabat bank sentral AS memberikan pernyataan hawkish terkait kebijakan moneter. Untuk minggu ini, pidato dari Ketua The Fed Jerome Powell di simposium tahunan Jackson Hole akan menjadi fokus pasar.

Harga emas masih berada dalam tren bearish, di mana pergerakannya saat ini masih berada di bawah indikator Supertrend. Dalam jangka pendek, harga berpotensi bearish lebih lanjut hingga ke level 1727.00 jika terus bertahan di bawah area 1737.05-1742.00.
